Months later my maternity leave had ended and I had to go back to work. Perhaps a blessing in disguise, that meant remote work, and being able to continue directly nursing my baby. That also meant interrupting work every two hours to nurse and pumping to keep the supply up. At some point, I thought I finally got the rhythm and swing of the juggling act.
Sudden Changes and New Beginnings
Until one day, without warning, my baby just didn't want to breastfeed anymore. He refused to latch, looked at me with his innocent sweet eyes and shook his head. And that was it. He was done with breastfeeding.
Atlassian Jewelry was borne out of the process of dealing with the sudden end of our breastfeeding relationship; what started as a means of coping has now evolved into this small keepsake jewelry business which aims to share joy, grief, pride, pain, and all the dichotomies that come along with being a mother.
